Cielo Venezia 1270 S.P.A. is an Italian jewellery company founded by Sergio Cielo in the gold district of Vicenza.

A legend told by the Cielo family traces their connection to jewellery back to a meeting between the poet Cielo D’Alcamo and Marco Polo in Venice. The legend says the poet purchased some precious stones from Marco Polo’s travels in the far East and took them to the court of Palermo, where he lived.

That meeting is believed to have marked the creation of the first jewellery pieces signed “Cielo”.

The company was established to fulfill Sergio Cielo’s desire to make jewellery purchasing easy and understandable for everyone.

To pursue his goal, Sergio Cielo introduced several innovations in the jewellery world:

• The “stage” – the name given to the revolutionary packaging that made jewellery the absolute protagonist.
• The displayed price – to be transparent with the consumer from the outset.
• The quotation of pearls – to facilitate the understanding of these gems.
• Pure diamond visible to the naked eye – a simple way to introduce the public to gemmology.

Even today, the Cielo family leads the company: thanks to the founder’s wife Mara Cielo, the president, and his son Mattia Cielo, the CEO.

The group boasts the following brands in its portfolio: Miluna, Nimei, Yukiko, Kiara and the Luxury Jewellery brand Mattia Cielo.
